Crook Town travel to the Arrowmark Home Improvements Stadium as the hoops aim to break run of draws.
This week we welcome Crook Town who make the trip up from County Durham on a five-game losing streak stretching back to the 11th of October and have suffered back-to-back postponements. We last faced the visitors almost exactly a year ago with a 0-0 draw away last December preceded that season by a 2-1 home defeat to this weekend’s visitors.
After what was a very stop-start November for Birtley with two different abandonments on the road sandwiched between three high-scoring draws, Birtley will be hoping to restore order and put some strong Christmas form together with back-to-back home games before road trips to Horden and Whickham – the later of those is a rare Boxing Day game.
It would be brilliant to see a strong home support both this and next week as we head into the festive season.

Admission prices are Adults £7, Concessions £5 and Under 18’s £2. Under 16’s gain free entry with an accompanied Adult.
Our own clubhouse, Wadgey’s Bar will be open from 1pm and we accept both cash and card for payment.
The nearest East Coast mainline station is Chester-le-Street and it’s a c.£2.50 bus ride from there to Birtley on the Angel 21 service. Alight at New Town Industrial Estate or look out for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. If you hit Komatsu, you’ve gone one too far! For those paying the Hanlon a visit, look out for the stop at Station Lane. The Hanlon is opposite the bus stop and our ground is a 10-15 minute walk from there.
Parking inside the ground is predominantly for players, officials and club volunteers first although this will be opened to the general public once those named above are in. Overflow car parks can be found at First Class Commercials (from 12pm) and Beal’s Architecture which are both a stone’s throw from the ground itself.
Please DO NOT park in the leisure centre car park or Barbour as these are used by other nearby businesses.
Dogs are welcome at the Arrowmark Home improvements Stadium but must be kept on a lead at all times. Water bowls are available for our furry friends, just ask behind the bar if they’re not already out.
