Friday night under the lights returns to The Arrowmark Home Improvements Stadium as Hoops host West Auckland.
Birtley look to follow up their 1-0 win at Crook on Wednesday night as West Auckland Town visit the Arrowmark Home Improvements Stadium.
Our visitors arrive off the back of two consecutive high scoring wins. First they came from 4-2 down away at Newcastle Blue Star with twenty-five to go to win 5-4 with top scorer Craig Moody grabbing the late winner. They then came out 4-1 victors over Whitley Bay in the League Cup on Tuesday following a 6-0 Round Two thrashing of Durham United.
We look forward to welcoming all their players, staff and supporters to the Arrowmark Home Improvements Stadium for the only game in the division.
As for Birtley, they come into this off the back of a very good away win on Wednesday night. One day off fifteen years to the day since their last win at The Sir Tom Cowie Millfield, the visitors put in a strong performance as Charlie Aitken scored his first goal for the club for the Hoops to run out 1-0 winners.
Birtley return home knowing that they are unbeaten at home since early November in a run that has survived visits of play off chasers and league leaders alike. They have won their last two home games without conceding against Ryton & Crawcrook Albion as well as West Allotment Celtic.
We look forward to welcoming a big Friday night crowd. Wadgey’s Bar will have its doors open at 6pm for the 7:30pm start.

Admission prices are Adults £7, Concessions £5 and Under 18’s £2. Under 12’s gain FREE entry with an accompanied Adult.
Our own clubhouse, Wadgey’s Bar will be open from 6pm and we accept both cash and card for payment.
The nearest East Coast mainline station is Chester-le-Street and it’s a £2.50 bus ride from there to Birtley on the Angel 21 service. Alight at New Town Industrial Estate or look out for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. If you hit Komatsu, you’ve gone one too far!
Parking inside the ground is predominantly for players, officials and club volunteers first although this will be opened to the general public once those named above are in. Overflow car parks can be found at First Class Commercials (from 5:30pm) and Beal’s Architecture which are both a stone’s throw from the ground itself.
Please DO NOT park in the leisure centre car park or Barbour as these are used by other nearby businesses.
Dogs are welcome at the Arrowmark Home improvements Stadium but must be kept on a lead at all times. Water bowls are available for our furry friends, just ask behind the bar if they’re not already out.
