Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, goalkeeper Alfie Gordon has departed the club to take up an exciting opportunity at a higher-placed club. Alfie not only leaves with our blessings but also our unwavering thanks for his commitment during his 91 appearances for the club.
Signed at the start of the 23/24 season as Foster and Bryson’s number one target, Birtley-born Alfie made 40 appearances in all competitions, missing only four games whilst registering eleven clean sheets. This season he was almost an ever-present playing a staggering 51 times, missing just one game through injury. He made twelve clean sheets and claimed the man of the match award on five occasions.
All the very best at your new club Alfie, we wish you well.
