The club regrets to announce that Paul Beat has stepped down as first team manager following the conclusion of the 21/22 season.

The decision is entirely Paul’s and is due to an increase in work and family commitments.

Paul is Birtley through-and-through and will be remaining at the club, helping to drive us forward both on & off the field.

The committee would like to place on record our appreciation for Paul, who managed the club for over 200 games, guiding the team from the Northern Alliance to become an established Northern League club once again, and winning the George Dobbins League Cup in 2018.

Details of how to apply for the role will be released in the coming days for any interested parties.
