Big Clarky is a local lad who was at Birtley around 6 years ago for a short spell. Returning with a hell of a lot more experience, he's capable of giving us another dimension to our play. Not forgetting that he can play as well and if our supply into him is right, he can score a hatful.

Big Clarky is a local lad who was at Birtley for a short spell during the 2015/16 season. Returning with a hell of a lot more experience, he’s continued to offer brilliant support throughout our recent period.

Clarky scored both penalties in our play-off campaign before being made club captain in the summer of 2023. Clarky made the move back to Chester-le-Street Town in late 2023 as he chases down his 150th Northern League goal.

Player sponsor: Clarky is kindly sponsored by Tiffen Group.
