Callum is a Birtley lad who boasts an incredible record of 327 appearances at his former club Ryton & Crawcrook Albion where he also scored 55 goals and held the position of club Captain from 2020-2023.
Formerly a part of the Team Northumbria set up, Callum has been a regular since signing for The Hoops in the summer of 2023. He scored his first goal in the 6-2 victory at Boldon and notched again in the 1-1 draw with Newton Aycliffe in the FA Vase.
His most important two moments of the season came in the play-offs when he scored winning penalties against both Horden CW and Billingham Town. The penalty kick in the final will live long in the memory of Birtley fans as he looks to continue our push in Northern League Division One.
Player Sponsor: Callum is kindly sponsored by The Hanlon Pub. The Hanlon Pub is our local pub and many of our fans and committee members can be found at the Hanlon after our home games. The management team from the pub, headed by Stevie Davies, offers advice to the club on running our very own Wadgey’s Bar. The Hanlon is a regular stop off for the people of Birtley with live sport on the screens, live music every Saturday and a brilliant selection of beers, lagers and ciders. Fittingly Callum is also captain of the Hanlon FC on a Sunday morning.
