Our skipper for his second season, Jack has bags of Northern League experience and he is looking like he is back to his punching weight and fitness. A true midfielder who can be essential to our success this season.

Another local lad, Jack is a strong player who is a leader at Birtley. Jack was captain of the side for a number of years before a serious knee injury curtailed his 2022/23 season. The injury resulted in Jack retiring at the early of 29 but his efforts as Club Captain were well remembered during his time with us. In the 24/25 season, Jack was able to access a new physio and with new treatment, Honour returned to playing.

Returning to the side, the frustration of the last two years was finally lifted when Jack smashed home a brilliant strike against Tow Law in a crucial relegation six pointer. After a full pre-season we are hoping to see Jack back to his very best for the new season.
