Heds is a managers dream, honest, reliable and a solid performer. He's got better more or less every game he's played for the club and is now one of two Vice Captains. An accomplished defender with a fantastic left foot, he gives us great balance.

Heds suffered a serious thigh injury during the 2022/3 season but regained full fitness to play in both play-off games. Heds has been near enough ever present since the side was promoted to Northern league Division One. As current vice-captain, Heds has now surpassed 150 appearances for Birtley.
